Why private dentistry

We strongly believe in prevention rather than cure. We are able to offer you the gift of time – time to discuss your concerns, time to identify the best treatment options and time to carry out that treatment to your satisfaction. If we need to spend three-quarters of an hour doing a scale and polish, and then teaching someone the correct way to clean their teeth, we can.

NHS dentist has to comply with a finite list of options for your treatment, whereas there are no boundaries for private treatment except the skills and experience of the dentist. So every treatment plan has a potentially broader range of options. If need an advanced technique to save a tooth – we can use this.

As we are freed from a set of rules, if you want, say, a crown made from superior materials, a denture with realistic-looking teeth or a white filling, instead of metal, we can provide these.

At Smile Suffolk - Ipswich, we will guarantee all private inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, implant restorations & implant posts, and veneers for a 2 to 5 year period subject to terms and conditions.

Fillings and other adhesive works are guaranteed for two years.

Ultimately, private dentistry gives you choice. It allows you to be involved in treatment planning and lets you benefit from a full range of options.

Exclusion of Guarantee:

  • 1If we have to replace filling, veneer or crowns due to decay or accidents (trips and fall).
  • 2Failure to follow aftercare instructions or not seeing dentist or Dental hygienist twice a year as maintenance is the key for long term success of your treatment.

Quality Guaranteed*

Our practice has been equipped with the latest dental technology, so you receive the highest quality service each time you visit.

As part of our commitment to quality, we promise to:

  • Listen to your concerns and goals in order to fully understand your needs
  • Give you the best possible treatment using the latest techniques and materials
  • Let you know in advance, and agree to in writing, the cost of any treatment planned
  • Always do our best to see you on time
  • Guarantee all private inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, implant restorations & implant posts and veneers for a 2-5 year period. (subject to terms and conditions)
  • Fillings and other adhesive works are guaranteed for two years. (subject to terms and conditions)

In return, we ask that you help us to maintain an efficient practice by:

  • Being on time for appointments wherever possible and letting us know immediately if you are running late
  • Providing us with at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment.
  • Keeping up-to-date with payments
  • Taking responsibility for your oral hygiene between appointments
  • Letting us know if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your treatment, so we can work together to help Smile Suffolk to go from strength to strength
  • Helping us to spread the work about Smile Suffolk, by telling your family and friends about our service

* Subject to terms and conditions.
